I have been employed with Humphrey Management for over twelve years.Throughout my years with Humphrey Management I have been given both the opportunity and the necessary training to continue to grow professionally. Humphrey Management has allowed me to take on new responsibilities so that I may continue to challenge myself personally and professionally. One of the things that I like best about working for Humphrey Management is the flexibility that they offer each employee. Each employee is given the opportunity to grow, but is not necessarily "pressured" to take on more responsibility once the employee has found their "niche". Over the past fifteen years I have been privileged to work with some truly exceptional individuals. When I first came to Humphrey Management, it was a small company that rapidly expanded. Much of this success is due to dedicated employees who have worked hard to help the Humphrey Companies to succeed. The professional appearance of all Humphrey Company Properties is enhanced by well maintained buildings, curb appeal, and beautiful landscaping. The company takes extra effort to see that all employees are well trained in many vital areas. This is done during the year at training sessions and also at the yearly conference.

I have worked in section 8 and farmers home tax credit at several locations in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia. I have worked with Senior Citizens and on family complexes. I have also traveled as far away as Georgia to inspect and audit files of prospective properties. I am very proud to be a part of this well respected company.

Humphrey Management started a "buddy system" a few years ago, but I was actually affected by the "buddy system" years before it began.

When I started with Humphrey Management, a manager by the name of Becky Young took me under her wing and trained me. Becky did this not because she was told to, but because she knew what the job entailed and she did not want to leave me stranded at my new post. For months, and even now, she answers my questions without complaint. She has helped me become a better manager by encouraging me to trust in myself.

I will always remember what it was like when I first became the manager at New Market North. I was scared that I would not be able to handle the responsibility that was entrusted to me, but with Becky's helpful advice and never ending support, I soon learned how to be a manager.

The "buddy system" that Becky started with me is something that I continue whenever I meet a new manager. I hope that I am as helpful to them as Becky was to me.

The Humphrey Management "buddy system" is a helpful tool to new managers. It keeps you from feeling so small in such a large company. It makes for better managers when they know they have support, that's just a phone call away.
