2nd Annual Manager Development Program
Congratulations to the second Manager In Training (MIT) graduating class. The Manager Development Program (MDP) is an intensive nine month program designed to provide comprehensive hands-on educational training for both personal and professional growth. We believe the MDP will equip our graduates with the means to become effective team players pursuing the goal of excellence in our communities.

The Certified Humphrey Manager Program
The Certified Humphrey Manager Program is comprised of five educational sessions, covering the areas of Development, Compliance, Human Resources, Operations, Maintenance, Marketing, and Finance. To receive the CHM designation, Community Managers must successfully pass daily assessments by company facilitators.

Hand Art Contest
HAND (Housing Association of Non Profit Developers) held their 7th Annual Children's Art Contest in March. The theme was "Welcome to My Neighborhood". Colvin Anderson, who resides at our Academy Hill Apartment community, is our runner-up. Heritage Park won the 2011 Housing Achievement award for Best Community.
The participation, excitement, and creativity were wonderful. We are very proud of each of our participants. Thank you for your participation and congratulations to Colvin and Heritage Park.

Breast Cancer Walk
We thank our employees, friends, and family members who participated in the annual American Cancer Society's 2009 Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 25. Their generous donations exceeded our goal. We have raised over $3,600 this year!

We cannot help but smile with pride! Congratulations are in order for our Shippen House community for receiving the SatisFacts 2009 National Property Award! Shippen House was the top winner out of 10 of the highest rated properties in their category. But wait, there's more. Congratulations are also in order for Meadow Run and Chesapeake Apartments for also making the top 10 list. Hand Art Contest
HAND (Housing Association of Non Profit Developers) held their 5th Annual Children's Art Contest in March. The theme was "Mi Casa es Su Casa" (My House is Your House). There were two runners up from our communities: K. Phillips of Holly Lane Apartments and T. Hyman of Homes at the Glen. The participation, excitement, and creativity was wonderful. Camp Heritage
Our 2nd annual day camp at Heritage Park kicks off! There are more than 75 children participating in a nine-week program from Monday through Friday that is comprised of weekly themes of fun filled, action packed learning activities. We have added a "Toddler and Me Parenting My Toddler" class section on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The kick off week is "Sports Safety and Exercise Importance" week. Children learn the fundamentals of various sports and the value of staying and excelling in school. Other weekly themes are: Police and Fire Safety , Team Spirit, Independence Celebration, Good Nutrition, and much more.

Happy Anniversary!
HAI Management celebrated its 25th anniversary and we celebrated this wonderful milestone at our annual conference in April. We also celebrated with a company picnic in September with great food, games, and competition. The Humphrey company picnic was a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness as the company donated $5 for everyone person who wore pink.
